Dinette cushion firmness

The dinette cushions on our 2010 19' are getting worn out, so I'm looking into replacements.

Does anyone know what firmness the stock cushions are (from 2010 models)? Would like to get something similar -- we often use our dinette as a bed. Thanks.

(BTW, I've emailed Escape twice about ordering replacements from them, but have heard no response)

I was sinking thru to the wood on mine so I went to a local upholstery supply place where the foam guy called the it medium, he also carried high density. I tried a hunk of high density in one cushion and found it too hard, so I combined the 2 which works out well for me. The high density is a blue/green color, the medium was whiteish.

I know that if you order it online, some places carry a bunch of densities. They go by a numbering system that I can't help with.

The stock cushions used to be 1.5 LB foam which after time becomes soft and easily compressed. I replaced the seat bottom cushions with 2 LB foam which at first seemed quite hard but now seems perfect.

I have a side business as an upholster, you can buy the proper blue/green foam at JoAnn fabrics. If you need a different thickness two separate piece can be placed together with spray glue.

I too found the seat cushions a bit soft in our 5.0TA, so went to a local foam shop that does beds and seat cushions, and tried out a few other densities of which he had about five. I chose one that was the next level denser and now find the seat cushions way more comfortable.

I would highly recommend doing similar. Much better to select in person than just go by what others bought, as differing suppliers to stores may have a good variance in product. Do not try to go cheap. Any larger municipality will have a foam supplier. I know of a few here in Calgary.
