Hi, I want to thank Chama and 7th Heaven for their generosity in giving us their used slide strips for the dinette table. This will allow the new table top that I made to slide just a few more inches from side to side allowing us easier access to our seats. I have attached photos for anyone that is interested.

The table is made out of Red Oak that I had left over from another project. This was a "stay at home/isolation" project so I had to glue up a lot of pieces from what I had on hand. I normally would have used biscuits in the joints, but I didn't have enough to do it so I tried using a wood spline for the first time. So far so good!

Table looks great ! I always appreciate good woodwork. Splines are very strong as are biscuits. But neither are really necessary. Glue and a good clamp up would be more than adequate. But it is always good to make it more robust. Good work.
