OK, so I've spoken to NovaKool twice on the phone now. The answer I've gotten is that yes, with the door taken off, the total depth is 22".

I will say that the person I talked to did not inspire a ton of confidence in their overall demeanor...

Anyhow, I think between the fridge being theoretically small enough, and the fact that if I end up needing to I think I can take the casing off the door and get to at least 24", I'm gonna go for it and see if I can make this happen. Trailer comes mid-April

Unfortunately that seems to be a sign of the times. If you actually get human to answer. In cases like that I go for a best out of 3 unless all 3 are a definite no.

Sounds like you should be OK. Go for it and let us know how it goes. Others will no doubt follow in your footsteps.

I know you've all been waiting with bated breath. I got the R5810 in a while ago, but got around to opening it today. If I remove the door, hinges, and flange (which all appear to be fairly straightforward to do), the total depth including all the coils and such on the back is..... 21 3/4"!!!

So, I'll have an absolutely luxurious 3/8" on either side to get it through the door of the trailer. (Without needing to remove any of the door casing)

I plugged it in and it's quietly cooling down, so that's nice too.

Won't actually have the trailer for another couple weeks, so I'll have to wait to find out what other surprises await me in trying to fit this 5.8cu ft monster in the little 17B.
