Drying rack
We attended the Mississippi River Rendezvous over the weekend, and surprisingly we received a lot of comments about our drying rack. So, I thought I would share a couple of pictures for those who might be interested. I seem to recall we purchased this from Amazon or Camping World (below is the link for Amazon).
https://www.amazon.com/Stromberg-Car...ng+drying+rack
It is easy to use and easy to store, and we've been very happy with it.
We needed to drill an additional hole as it is designed for a 4 inch bumper whereas the Escape bumper is smaller. This also created the need to buy a smaller U bracket to connect to the bumper. Looking at the picture, I should probably cut the excess off the bolt....another project for another day I suppose.

Too bad there is not one that fits the 2" receiver already there.

We have that exact same drying rack, and have been really pleased with it. It even works well with our 1UP bike rack in place.

Me three! Actually I have two of them. One for the Scamp and another for Ten Forward (which I haven't even put on yet). I drilled more holes in the poles, lower down for short stuff like wash cloths. Too I got a a cord lock for the clothes line so I can make it really tight instead of droopy. Just be aware, the black caps at the top have a tendency to come off and you'll lose them. Ask me how I know...

I had one of these on my Casita for many years and loved it. Unfortunately when the Casita was sold I sent the clothesline rack along with it thinking that it wouldn't work with the smaller bumper on the Escape. Wrong.
Either a smaller U-bolt as others have done or a spacer with the original U-bolts should be fine. Now I have a new assignment to complete.

This is a great mod and one that I'd incorporate into any camper.

Donna, exactly how does that cord lock work? The droopy lines is my one complaint about it

You pull the lines tight, starting at the bottom. At the last hole where the cord comes out at the top, you slide the cord lock right up against the pole. It pinches the cord and keeps the cord from sliding back. Works great and the cord lock is cheap too. I bought a package of three at at sporting goods store for less than $2. They're often used on ruck sacks, etc.

Looks like it'd be good for drying salmon, also.

drying rack
I made one that is very much the same but I mounted it to a 2 inch hitch so I just slide it on when I need to use it and when not in use breaks down for easy storage.

Many years ago I built a similar rack for an Aliner. At that point in time, they were not available commercially. I probably could have made a bunch of them and sold them for a tidy profit. My only problem with that rack was that it was exposed to the elements. Frequently, when things were almost completely dry the sky would open up and everything got wet again. Now, I hang wet stuff under the sleeping loft of the 5.0TA so it no longer matters if it rains.

Thats exactly what we do with long bungee cords, works great and you can never have enough bungees.

Another Way to Mount
We have the same drying rack as "tash" but I have modified it to better suit our needs. I initially rigged it to attach with a block of wood on the bumper but that really never worked well (thus the PVC top rail to keep the side bars from sagging inward). I had the mounts mounted onto the frame and now the rack is very secure. I keep the rack in a second sewer hose holder I had Escape add, fits perfectly and travels great.
