Easy Teak Shower Mat
I've been wanting to put in a Teak Shower mat for a long time. I've read all the threads concerning it and the different approaches, but I decided to modify this one to fit:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Pretty simple to cut the length down from 31 1/2" to around 23 1/2". Then, removed the end rail of the piece I cut off so I could use it later. Then a partial cut about 6 1/2" from the cut end, providing clearance for the wheelwell. Lastly, cut a piece of the saved bottom rail to fit, and reattach it. The mat is well built, and comes with stainless steel screws - no glue.
Just a bit of sanding to do on the cut ends, and a touch of Teak Oil. I think it turned out good. Hopefully my estimate of the size (using Bob's photo with the mesh 12" x 12" black tiles) will work out, since I don't have access to my trailer right now. It's not quite deep enough given the estimated 22" depth of the floor, but one or two inches of wiggle room is fine I guess. I'll post a follow up photo once it's in place. I may replace the black rubber feet with white ones, to prevent any marks on the shower floor.

The bath shell must be different to suit the vertical exterior shell walls. If the lateral width (in the direction across the trailer) is the same as before at the widest point, the new floor dimension will be wider, since the inward slope is gone. It seems almost certain that the floor-level lateral width will increase - a guess might be by close to two inches.

Another option is a product called Duragrid. It comes in 1 ft squares and the sides all lock together to form one piece. It is about 3/8" thick and can be cut with large scissors or x-acto knife, last forever, and comes in a variety of colors.

While there are many options for the floor, this was just a matter of taste. I prefer the look of natural Teak.

It did, but I think it was in another thread. That was some years ago.

Wow, old thread.
No, apparently I don't. I can take one this weekend but right now I'm out of state on business.

Yea, I finally decided I want to decide I want to investigate going down this road. I'd really appreciate a pic of how it sits in your shower. Thanks.
