Elfa shelving for 17B

Hey Elfa fans! We’d like to put a pre-built Elfa basket rack in our 17b wardrobe, but most of them seem to be 21 deep and the cabinet is 19 deep. Would love specific recommendations for ones that work, or links to the best choice. Thanks so much!

I stacked 2 medium size 4 runner frames with 18" deep shelves. Runner frames are about 1/8" too wide for the opening so the formica top needs to be removed and the frames installed from the top.

Super helpful, thanks so much. I hadn’t found the cabinet solutions - looks like it will work perfectly. Is the counter top hard to remove and re-install?

The formica top is secured with 4 screws, one in each corner from underneath, and some clear sealant/adhesive on the back wall. Piece of cake to remove and reinstall. Two Medium 4-Runner Cabinet-Sized Frames are almost a perfect fit from side to side and top to bottom. I used 2x4s on the floor to raise the height of the frame to match the cabinet bottom. The drawers are extremely sturdy and weigh considerably less than I could make from wood.

Wow! Thank you so much for the additional guidance and pictures. We’re headed to the Container store this weekend. Love the use of the 2 x 4s. The fit looks amazing and I had the same thought about weight. Looks like you might have screwed the rack into the 2x4s to keep it secure. Many thanks again!!

Thanks again, Bill! Your help and pictures were invaluable. Finished the project this weekend and am very happy with the results! One last question - do you do anything to secure the baskets when on the road. Don’t want them to hit the door.
