Escape 19 permanent bed

Finally nearing my ability to order. Would really like the Escape 19 for everything but the permanent bed. Would like to have that a Ushaped dinette/couch area.
I will be solo rving and plan to make the small dinette into a twin bed. So I wouldn't need or want such a large bed.
My question is, "What is under that permanent bed that makes it be permanent?"
Is there hope for creating what I would like to do?

It's been done before - no problem.

There is a little step up, maybe 2-3" because the fresh tank is underneath. Otherwise a "U" will work with the permanent twin bed in front.

That is perfect! I am hoping to schedule a tour with them mid April to finalize my choice. I really like the size of the 19. The 21 is just more than I need, and the 17 a little small.

Thank you. Over the years I have seen your comments throughout this forum and you seem quite informed on Escape Industries. Do you think they would make the change for me, or would I need to do it?

Just like the all Escape models designed before the 21' (which are the 17', 5.0, 13', and 15') - and the original Trilliums - all of which have rear dinettes.

Rosalyn, since you would not need to use the dinette as a bed, the conversion effort would not matter, so the "reversed" setup might suit you well.

It appears that the front could be left stock (and you would leave it set up as a bed), or could be replaced by a permanent bed. A permanent setup might be preferable, as it could be optimized for storage and it would be lighter than with the table and hardware.

Hi - I just got a 19 with a permanent bed in the front and I love it! The bed is more comfortable than the dinette cushions. But it's also more awkward to get into the storage (you have to lift up the whole mattress).
Also, they can do a couple different things for storage under the bed. I had them build it as though it was a dinette because I wanted open space under the center for a litter box.
Also, be aware that some controls (inverter, solar panel, battery disconnect, electrical outlet) are placed normally near the floor for the front dinette - so if you have a permanent bed, these controls are petty much inaccessible. Better to see if they can be moved - or just go with a dinette in front and maybe add a memory foam topper for extra cushioning.
