Extra insulation& thermal windows

Hi, I wonder if someone would comment on the extra insulation & thermal window option . We are having a 15fter built ( just ordered so still early enough to add ) and are having second thoughts after saying no to that option . We do like to go out early spring and late October . Do many people have this option ?

Re: Extra insulation& thermal windows

Hi, Gabi and Wolf! I wouldn't be without the insulation. It is not only good for the cold but for the heat. Someone mentioned how it helps keep out the noise. You will also miss thermal windows if you don't have them.

We wouldn't be without the extra insulation or thermal windows either - especially wise if you are out in colder fall or early spring weather.

Re: Extra insulation& thermal windows

We had a 17B with single pane windows and were always having to wipe the condensation from them. Our new 5.0 has the dual pane and the difference is night and day .......... we have yet to have to wipe them even camping on Whidby Island in mid April amid torrential rain; well worth the money.

Re: Extra insulation& thermal windows

Seems like we should rethink that real quick, thanks for the input . Having had a few fiberglass moulds we've sort of learned to ventilate , but hey.... never wiping a window sounds great !
