Flexiride Canadian axle

Just wondering if anyone has replaced their axle with a Flexiride axle?

I had a boler with one and it was really handy for lifting the trailer.

I just bought a 2006 17b and with the amount of fire roads this is going to see, I am definitely going to lift the trailer.

I installed a FlexiRide on my boler, a good axle and you have the ability to change the angle of the suspension arms, thus altering the ride height. Check the specification on the 3500 lb axle before considering this as an option, on their 2000-2200 lb axles the Dexter suspension arms are 6" long whereas the FlexiRide are 4" long, this changes the centre line of the wheel hubs moving the wheels and tires forward in the wheel openings.

If your current axle assembly is in good condition, it would be much cheaper to buy a spacer kit to raise the trailer than to replace the entire axle assembly. It would also be a lot less work to add the spacer or to install a new Dexter Torflex than to customize the mounting of a different axle assembly to fit the trailer.

Dexter makes a spacer kit that will get you 2.63 inches in additional height.

Google Dexter torsion axle spacer kit for lots of hits.
