Headboard
We wanted to be able to read and watch movies in bed while sitting up and not pressing against the window, screen, back stabbers, and shade. So we built a headboard. We wanted it to not attach to the trailer if possible to not cause any possible damage to the trailer and to be easily removable for making the bed or changing our mind. Basically it just slips down between the trailer wall and the mattress. Attached to that board that slips down behind the mattress are a couple 2x4's to extend the headboard away from the wall. Pretty simple with our limited carpentry skills. Note: there is a small notch at the bottom that fits over the slats we have under the mattress.

It makes a big difference on a rainy day to have somewhere else to comfortably sit and lounge and the bed with a headboard is just the place.
Well done.

Really like this idea! We don't have the window in our 21, but the comfy incline is quite appealing for TV or reading. I'm going to make a prototype out of 3/16 inch hinged plastic that would fold flat and stow at the head of the bed when not in use. When needed, it will be unfolded to a wifey-agreed comfy angle. Could be a new product, but it would be spendy to ship..............Pics to come.

NICE!
FWIW, we put a headboard in our 21, back in 2015. It's bolted to the bed platform with L-braces. Very sturdy. I posted about it way back when... 21 Storage at Head of Bed.

That is something I would be interested in Charlie. Fortunately shipping costs aren't much of a concern.
Great idea, Videocrafters!
