Heat Pads

We have a 21C that does not have tank heaters or insulation on the undercarriage. We will be traveling in some areas with freezing weather. As a matter of fact, it was 33 degrees this morning at our summer base in Idaho.

Has anybody added tank heaters other than those installed by Escape? We are thinking of adding a heater to the fresh and gray tank and may do some kind of heat tape to the drains.

If you have done this please let me know what you used. Is there a 12-volt solution that can function while driving? I have seen some info that suggests that the tow vehicle can't keep up with tank heaters while in motion.

Hi; We have a 17A (fresh water only). The tank froze at 10 degrees F, but not at 20. Thawed out, no problem
