The real world answer is most very likely "Yes, you'll be able to do this (and have fun in the process)."

Remember, forums are a clearing-house for problem solving much more than a clearing-house for reports of the thousands of 'boring' and trouble-free miles and hours we spend with our campers. Those 'problems' may seem many in the context of the forum, but in the context of all Escape ownership and use they really are relatively few and far between.

My suggestion is: Relax and look forward to fun with your new trailer. The relatively few and usually minor problems that will arise will be dealt with as they come and soon thereafter relegated to the stuff of campfire tales.

Bought a 2017 17B new, put many thousands on it, and have a 5.0 in order.

No mechanic here. You can do it; these are good trailers. Mostly on a forum you’re going to see problems or the posts of persons who want to tinker and perfect their baby. There are hundreds (thousands?) more rolling down the road you won’t hear from and enjoying the life camping. Have heart!

Thanks Alan. Good perspective and mostly the conclusion I have come too. Breathe in and breathe out and look for the opportunities for joy, and I do believe our Escape (when we finally get it) will be one of those opportunities.

Warmly,

Marty

Good not be overconfident; like that infomercial said(Rich guy on private jet) "If they can do it, You can do it"! Down the road it pays to acquire some basic skills, and most of it isn't hard- it just takes time. YouTube is your friend.
