Interior color combinations

Don't like the stock colors in the escape. Show us your custom color combinations. Looking for some great ideas!
Thanks

Our selections

This is what we picked. Fabric is a done deal as already received at Escape. The laminate and vinyl could change before our build sheet deadline, but we don't think so. Hoping the darker flooring will compliment, and not clash, with the lighter cabinets.

This is the fabric we selected which blends nicely (I think!) with the standard Formica and vinyl. I am then picking up the teal color for accents, like a pillow for the dinette area and placemats, napkins and dinnerware. This is gonna be a glamping experience for us old pikers! Can't wait!

We went bold on our 19, but I really like some of the more simple solid colors I've seen lately on the It's Friday thread.

If I were building a new one today, I might go in a completely different direction with some subtle gray colors instead, like this Sunbrella fabric and Formica.

That's the exact same fabric we used on our patio furniture. We like it.

Here is ours. Kept it simple to create a "larger" feel.

Also I noticed your backsplash is titles vs the standard extension of Formica with the wooden plugs; again is that ETI or did you customize after the fact?

Not Jim, but allow me to butt in. Jim did all the cabinetry/counter work himself. Here's the thread:

Simply wow! Fantastic work Jim. It reminds me of the customized aftermarket work done to Airstreams.

As per the thread linked by Robert, I guess you now know that I did all the finish work. There is no way Escape could handle this type of work, and knowing that, I took it on myself. A labour of love...... lots and lots of labour.

I rate Jim's cabinet work right up and even with Vancouver Island's ChrisR's mods.

At the Home Depot website you can get "Alexandria molding, Metal Mita Lustre, AT018-AM096C03" which is the grooved version Chris used. Very 50's retro and cool. They also have a smooth faced version. It's $8.12 for an 8-foot length but you can avoid an absurdly high delivery charge by going to the nearest Home Depot and having it delivered to the store.

Thanks for the link
I wonder of ETI would consider using this as opposed to Formica for edging?
It seems many of the photos I've seem have black or white edging, is that their standard?

I would doubt it, as it takes a lot more time. I have done the vinyl before, and it is super easy compared to metal. With vinyl, you can have it a wee bit proud of the top, and easily trim it off. With the metal, there is a lip that goes over the edge, and you have to have the slot pretty exact for it to look good.
