Keyless lock

Has anyone put on a keyless lock? If so, what kind and who put it on and how do you like it?

I had looked at them. Not cheap at around $200 for the one I looked at. Maybe some day when we travel more, but for now we rarely lock the door when camping, so not much of benefit. Looks like an easy swap.

I have used lots of those lock boxes for work. I much prefer the ones from Master Lock though. This is the one we use, as it can be kept on a doorknob, but you can get them without the shackle and mount them on the frame.

I think the OP is referring to a keyless front entry lock and not a key lockbox. A key lockbox would just complicate entry with an addition step. But I could be wrong.

You don't have to look for the key..... And everyone doesn't have to carry one. And you can tell family and friends the combo!!

My Mom has one of those alert pendents.. "I've Fallen and Can't Get Up. " She has a lockbox like Jim referanced on her front door. I'm not ready for that.. yet

We got that. We are obviously brighter than we type. Klem was just throwing out an alternative to carrying a key. These are what FC was talking about. (not positive this is the exact replacement though)

Yes, the entry door one you just showed, not a padlock. So does anyone have that kind and how do you like it?

I did see a little keyless lock with numbers that rotate that could go on the hatch since our lock there does not work well.

But most interested in the ones for the door. Klem, I take it you like that one from Kidde.

That's also possible with a front entry keyless entry lock.

I have one of those keyless entry thingys on my new truck... just gotta remember the code... But, I do know a couple who have a Ford F-150 (and an Escape) that use it all the time when off hiking. No need to worry about losing a key...

I hang it with a little silicon and a couple of pop rivets just to the left of the lock. You have to put in the 4digit code to open, and to close, but the numbers can be in any order so it's quick but annoying at times.

It looks secure .... And Always works ...
