LED Awning Light Strip - Help Wanted

We didn't get the optional LED lighting with our 5.0 TA manual awning but are now looking at installing some warm white light strips. We would appreciate any advice or installation experience.

Questions that come to mind:

- Specific brand and model recommendation for warm white light.
- Install on trailer exterior wall or on roller?
- How to route 12 volt power to receptacle and switch.
- Anything else we need to know?

By the way, there are some coiled and capped wires inside the upper cabinet just to the right of the 5.0 entrance. I haven't tested them for power but I'm wondering if they might be useful for this project.

Thanks

The actual "tape" LED lights I bought from Amazon, it comes in what ever length of lights you want, then you just trim and clean surface, they stick to the plastic underneath awning - The controller is Part # WS-01DC8 along with the remote wireless) you find them at WWW.rvlighting.ca ( I assume they ALSO would carry the LED TAPE LIGHTS.
I used RTV to stick my strip to the plastic, rather than try to peel the paper off the tape lights...been holding so far!

After seeing the awning light in 2014 at the rally in Osoyoos on the new 5.0 model I went out and purchased/installed one on Escape Blacjack, post #164-192 here https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f...ck-3134-9.html
