Hi Jubal the beauty of the little giant ladder is how stable it is . A frame ladders I have fallen off many times . The little giant is heavy though and I wish I could of afforded the more expensive version with wider steps but the little giant is a much safer ladder . We also bought the harbor freight one which is a knock off but that way we each have a ladder on each side so don't need to move around as much . The little giant has wheels also , when folded helps to move around . Pat

Little Giant ladder mod

We have a Werner ladder that is the same design as the Little Giants. I’ve found it easier to configure it as a standard a-frame then stand it so the A is facing the trailer vs one asymmetrical, shortened side against the trailer. In standard a-frame I can climb both sides of the ladder and be right up to the trailer, reaching a much larger roof area than with the shortened leg approach. Sorry if my description is confusing. I would make pics to demonstrate but we’re on the road, doing what our trailer is all about! Cheers!

Yup because of the many configurations you can make with the little giant also makes into a a frame also extension ladder , which we have made all with little giant . The best part of the ladder is how stable it is . We bought ours at Costco .Pat

Thanks for all of the ancillary information. Am still trying to determine the height of Ron's platform using the 17' Little Giant ladder. I have used a step ladder turned sideways and found it to be unstable and wanting to kick out when leaning in towards the center of the trailer roof.

I have a similar ladder that has 4 sections with locking hinges, to wax my Casita roof, I configure it to be a flat platform, like //==\\ and put a redwood plank across it, then I can wax about 10 feet of the roof without having to move the ladder. sadly, this isn't tall enough to work on the roof of the Escape, so its back to my lightweight but very sturdy 7' electricians fiberglass ladder.

Jon,
I got the 5' double side for our Scamp after seeing your ladder a couple years ago at Niagara. Used a 5" PVC square post to carry it.
Did you add a square post to your 21', or does it fit in an extra round tube added by Escape, or do you just carry it inside like another has posted?
