Locking Lug Nuts

I am looking at a "C" shaped wheel lock for our 17b. My concern is that a thief could remove the entire wheel, then mount the spare & drive off with our Escape. Are there locking wheel nuts available for the Dexter axles used by Escape?

Locking lug nuts

I have lug nuts on the spare that take a special socket that you get with the nuts. I got mine from Etrailer in 2014. Also my coupler yolk lock, coupler pin cylinder lock and stinger cross pin cylinder lock. I do not have locking lug nuts on the trailer. Etrailer.com has all that stuff. Pay attention to nut sizes on wheels and diameters and lengths on the cylinder locks. I’ve never had any trouble and since we park the trailer in a building at home, I do not worry about storage theft. I have a guard dog and insurance agent in one.

The wheel studs will be a very common size and you will be able to get your 4 pack of locking nuts at almost any auto parts store or Amazon. What size they are I don’t know but I am sure someone can help you with that.
