mirror

i need a mirror in my trailer. my 17 had a full length mirror inside the bathroom door. I'm trying to decide where i need it . Maybe a full length behind the bathroom door and a second smaller one some where in the cabin for make up? .... I'm guessing they need to be light ? non breakable? What have you all done?

I put these on the inside of the large cabinet (by the bed) in my 21'. There's a tad bit of distortion, but it'll work just fine in making sure my part is straight and I don't have green stuff between my teeth. And it's easier to use than the one in the bathroom. Lightweight, which is what I wanted. If I wanted something more full length I guess I could use that for the top half of me and put some on the inside of the other cabinet (by the frig) for the lower half of me.

mirror

I bought this beleved edge mirror with a greenish resin frame from Kohl's. I screwed the four corners into structural wood frame in the bathroom door on the outside and covered the screw heads with the colored pins. It has held up very well for close to 2 yrs. now.

My plexi mirror has been up for over nine years. Here's previous thread ( see post 22 ):

Did they stop putting them on the inside of the bathroom door?

Love it. It adds a lot of interest and personalization.

Did they ever? Both my 2009 and 2017 models never had a mirror install on the bathroom door. Seems like a good place to have one.

I've got one, about the size of a sheet of paper. Of course it's very possible I put it in and just don't recall doing so.

My old trailer had one in place of one of the cabinet door panels, I thought that was a great idea, for me, Deb couldn't use it at all as it was one of the uppers.

If the mirror is to be useful for makeup, you need a light above it to illuminate the face, an it has to be the right colour temperature.

Our mirror is on the outside of the closet door in our 19 installed by Escape . We are lucky there is a ceiling light on ceiling right there . For bath we bought a smaller I guess it is some kind of plastic that hangs on one of those suction hangers . Pat

It looks like the 19 still has this feature with the mirror built into the outside of the wardrobe door. The 17 has a small mirror above the fridge. That’s all I see as far as stock mirrors outside the bathroom.

Pat: That extra drawer would be nice to have especially with the oven. I’ve seen it occasionally on trailers for sale above both the new and old style furnace and irrespective of the oven option. It looks like the wardrobe isn’t quite as tall to compensate. The drawer wasn’t an option on early 19’s, but without the oven the drawer space is adequate.

Dave yes the closet isn't very tall and we just divided it up and made shelves which for us works . But the drawer was a nice surprise and sure glad we have it .Pat

The 2nd Gen trailers have a mirrored medicine cabinet but some times it's a PITA to use.
