Mods's before Quartzite.

Sandra and I are almost packed and ready to go to Quarzite, first time so looking to have a fun time. Got new mags for the escape for Christmas, and Sandra took all our old Jeans from the last 7-8 years and sewed a quilt for the bed. She sewed and I helped mount New valances throughout.
And lastly a mod for my tablet so I can watch the odd movie at night play some music etc.. Had two mounts make for over the bed and over the closet.

My jeans from the last 7-8 years wouldn't be fit to make a nice quilt.

Do you have an exact departure date for Quartzsite? We're heading down on the 1st. Pretty much straight down, hate I-5 but it gets the job done.

Nicely done. What a good idea for the quilt. Plus you know it is washable and won't shrink.

We are from Summerland Bc and are heading south also. Weather permitting we'll start driving Feb.1. San Diego for a few days and may be able to make it to Quarzite before the gathering is over. Might see you there. Travel safe. Herman.

That's what I like about it, when you gotta git, it gits you there fast. Not great scenery from it, but who wants an interstate going through nice country.

I actually think I-5 in Oregon (south of Eugene through the Siskiyous) has some of the best scenery in the state. For instance, Castle Crags is only visible northbound I-5 just before the Summit castle crags - Bing images

True, there is some nice scenery. Just not as up close and personal as I would like. The fact I am flying by doesn't add to the enjoyment. I so can't wait until I have the time to make pit stops to see things closest up.

I know some Norcal folks would like to secede, however isn't Castle Crags still in CA?

Hate to say it, but despite many, many years of blasting up and down I-5 I don't think I've ever seen them

Donna, just noticed you've now done 23,000 posts on FGRV. Lots of helpful advice to many folks.
