My counter extension bracket broke!
To our surprise, we found that one of the brackets to the counter extension at the end of the kitchen counter was broken. We cannot figure out how that happened.
I contacted ETI for help finding a replacement, but I am also going to use some J-B Weld to try and fix it.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I bent the supports on the counter extension next to the sink when I leaned on it to reach something, putting my full body weight on it. I was able to bend them back. Your break is weird, since that metal is not brittle.

What are you and Dora doing inside there Fred, a sink and and now a bracket? Hopefully it is an easy fix, those brackets maybe found in the Hardware Store in Osoyoos, they have everything. In addition, I'm sure if you ask ETI, they can have one for you at the rally, save on shipping.

I know! We are still trying to figure out what created so much stress.
Although, we did go over a big dip as we were turning wide in order to back into a camping site. Maybe that did it.

Go to Rocklers woodworking and hardware . They specialize in cabinet and furniture gardware . Not cheap but then their stuff doesn’t break for no reason .
We bought a similar item from them, 30 years and 5 kids later it still works like the day it was made .

We tend to get wobbly in our old age.
Enjoy,

If you can't get the bracket repaired or replaced I have one I can give you. We ordered our 21 with two counter extensions in the dinette. We have since decided having just one counter extension worked better for us. The second one now sits in my garage. I would be happy to remove the bracket and send it to you.

Thanks Matt!
Just as I was composing my response to you, ETI called me and they are delivering the parts to the rally.
I really appreciate your generosity!

Picnic tables and stuff
Hi Alf
I had about a thousand picnic tables in our park system. 997 of them could tell some tales of stress, romance and general debauchery. About three, by chance, were actually used for picnics! Bought a new tablecloth last weekend at Cantril, Iowa in the Old Dutchman’s Store. Passed on the Arugula seeds for the garden at $.20 per teaspoonful.

Thanks for the interesting information. I suppose that in the back of my brain I knew the tables were used for all kinds of recreation. I was young once.
Till now I hadn't done much about it.
Using a camp ground picnic table, I have been sweeping off the top and benches, and then putting a plastic table cloth on. Now I am going to wash the table with soap and water.
Because well, because.
