New Front Box Mod.
We ordered our Escape without the storage box so I added a 16x16x51” stainless steel box to the front. I had to move the tanks about 1” forward to get a clean fit for the WDH brackets so everything fits except the tank cover. I installed the batteries in the box and all my setup gear fits also. Total cost was about $200.

Looks great. Now you have me thinking... How about a picture of inside the box?
How is the Andersen WDH working out for you so far?

Looks the same, the only critical dimension is the 15” depth is maximum that there is room for.

I was considering doing the same. I was wondering what size would fit between the tank and trailer as we are on the long wait to build list.... Thank You for the measurements!
Looks Great.

I seem to remember when I was a young lad being trained in the air force about aircraft batteries and the close proximity to aluminum structure that you have to be extra careful when working on the battery terminals etc. Examples were provided.
I've had two aluminum front storage boxes with batteries in them but I've never forgotten that lesson.

Aluminum is a good conductor
Your Air Force training probably relates to errant contact of the battery cables to the aircraft aluminum structure. Metal on metal electrical contact. Not advised for either component.
Aluminum is a good conductor of electrons.

Also you have 2 different metals attached which has a cathodic metal corrosion, something to consider.

Lfolry, How's the storage box working out now that you've had it in service for 6 months? Do you have any additional pictures that show more of the trailer that you can post? Thank You!
