Jim,
Did you drill through the screen door to mount those handles?
I did the same installation on my previous 17, and was told I was lucky not to have hit any of the mechanism that retracts the screen, which apparently runs up the inside frame. For that reason I've been kind of skittish about doing this mod on the 19.

I drilled the holes really close to the outside edge, in fact the handle straddles the lock and I did not encounter any inside issues.

Don't know what Jim did, but I know that when I did the same "screen door handle" mod on my 19', I drilled through the string tying the little plastic zipper together at the bottom of the door. Little did I know that the zipper rides up the side of the door when it is opened. Took a couple hours to disassemble, replace the string, and reassemble the door again. Was a win-win experience, the door now works perfectly and I also have a working knowledge of how it goes together.

You're not alone I was lucky though, didn't cut the cord but the bolt touched the mechanism and it wouldn't work smoothly. Close call. Moved it a bit and now it works fine. So much easier to use the screen door when it has a proper handle.

I found no issue with sliding the door open or closed with the knobs that came with it. I wonder if they changed the design?

The top photo in post #280 shows the current setup. Only the little white part that you have to slide while holding the door also. The handle makes it so much easier.

Lifts under bed

Installed a freezer security latch to complement one on the refrigerator door, installed a variable intensity LED light with a night light over the sink. Tomorrow will be lifts for the bed under storage area. Pictures to follow later.

I was curious about the lifts under the bed. Did you finish your project? We have them now in our 5th wheel and there is no way I could access with out them! We plan to get 2 under bed doors in our build, but full access from the top would be wonderful!
Thanks-Mary

My lifts were to small to handle the weight, will need to get some bigger ones someplace, so no lifts at this time.

This thread discussed my experience with the lift. It works well. I am not sure the prop rod wouldn't be a lot simpler. I had to do a lot of iterations of the rod mounting to get it working. The final result is good.

Not sure how to post pics but these support our very heavy queen size bed.
The 1x3 stick looks good, too thanks for the link.
We haven't even turned in our build sheet and I already have a honey- do list

Definitely don't need 200 lbs to support the little access panel in the 21!

Any chance you can post a wiring diagram for the storage box outlet you installed for us remedial-electricians? Looks like a neat mod I'd like to duplicate.
Thanks,
Gary

I installed a stock 7 pin connector and wired thru a fuse the top 2 wires, if you look at your trailer connection, the top 2, control the lights, 11o'clock and one o'clock (there is no noon). Pollak Replacement 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket - Vehicle End Pollak Wiring PK11893

Although winterized, BlackJack still was exposed a little to the elements. With falling temperatures forecasted I finished sealing the unit. I installed some reflectix to the outside hood vent and a piece of foam to secure. Inside I covered the MaxxFan vent as well as the single pane window in the bath with reflect/cardboard and the bath vent in the ceiling. Very little outside light is now coming in.

I also noticed the foam around the door had some gaps so I installed some foam behind the gasket and drilled a small drain hole at the door bottom to allow drainage. Water previously accumulated there and formed some ice, now dry.
