Planned modifications to BlackJack….

Made or rather performed my first modification to Blackjack, replaced the incandescent bulb in the stove overhead with a led wedge bulb I had on hand. Now I'm 100% LED in and out.

It's about time Jim BlackJack has been in your possession for more than 48 hours. What's with the 'foot dragging'? :

Shoot, I'm still waiting to hear about the two unplanned changes that ETI did to your trailer Jim! I may want to add them to my build sheet

How do you like the big Blackjack after owning a 19ft?

It's amazing what 8" in width and 16" in length can do. It feels so much more spacious and I love the "U" shaped dinette in the rear with the panorama view. The counter and storage space is a lot more than what these 8x16" open up. It is just a better and more efficient layout, IMHO. It is nice being able to sit on the bed corner and put your shoes on, something the 19' did not allow one to do.

size of 21

Jim the 8" width increase is of course a inside measurement as the outside is 4" wider. Years ago looking at RV's we always told sales people that we wanted one
40' long inside and 20' long outside to keep both of us happy.
I believe our 21 is just about finished and ready to go, I have registered for the Bluebonnet Rally, (thanks Donna D. for the heads up).

It is only 4" winder than the 19 I believe.

Back in the beginning of the 21' mold build Reese gave the changes from 19' to 21' body.
http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f2...te-1883-3.html
Post #30 says
"Progress on the 21' plug. Tammy and I went up to Vernon to see the progress and go over the cosmetic changes now that the shape is there. You can see in the photo where the 19' has now been lengthened 4" in the rear, 16" in front of the door and 4" wider. At this stage, the flat window sections need to be altered, fridge and bath vent moved and a nice finish applied to get ready for the top mold. "

So, the 21' body is 20" longer and 4" wider than the 19'.

Just looked at the specs on their website, and confirmed this.

I would only have to go with a wider trailer if I was about 6" taller. With my 6'-2.5" height, the bed in the 19' is still long enough for me to stretch out fine.

I am only 6'-0", and ours fits me, my wife, and all my girlfriends just fine.

Total girlfriend count currently stands at zero.

Moving from my 8'x8' tent, the 19'Escape is going to feel like a stadium!

Like Jim alluded to though, the one thing the 21 has, is definitely a feeling of being way bigger. Moving the bathroom to the front really helps with this.
