Quick Upgrade

The inspiration for this goes to Ed ( Eggscape ) I think I saw it when I watched the video of his mods. Thanks Ed. I added oak slats above the door to store small items. I think it looks good and provides a nice storage area.

I though Eggscape had a E19? But other 5.0 owners have added this shelf over the door. It would not work in a non-5.0 unit.

Maybe it was not Ed but I saw it here somewhere. I think it would work in any trailer. The slats screw on to the angled pieces on the ends of the cabinets. In the 5.0 the area is slanted like the roof. In a standard trailer the slats would be straight.

I think the first person to do this mod was Alf back in 2011... hence the Alf Shelf: https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f8/extra-storage-space-1307.html

Then again in 2014: https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f...h-ii-4209.html

Thanks for the thought...but it was not me.
However it is a great idea and it is a planned mod for me in the future.

I did some more research and I found my source. It was in a 'Adventures in NoMadness" video. It was Escape Trailer Rally 2019 Tours, Mods and Interiors. The trailer was owned by Phil from North Vancouver B.C a 19'. Ed sorry for the confusion but thanks for all the ideas. I also am including another picture to better show the mod. Not a shelf, like the Alf shelf posted by Donna more like a cubby you can put small things in. In the picture I put in a phone and a book it better show the function and location. Phil thanks for the idea.

Yes I believe this is it. In the 5.0 it's up higher because of the slope of the roof.
