I did notice that the current draw on the 4008 is a bit high, around 10A. I could definitely see undersized wiring or a loose connection causing voltage drop and overheating during sustained use.

Sounds reasonable . The wire I added was higher gauge because I needed a little longer and thought it was a good idea . But I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to electrical . Pat

Funny thing is really don’t use WFCO for charging , just the solar now or plugging in to 120.
If you are plugged into 120 then you are using the WFCO for charging.

I have the Victron 100/30 solar charger. When plugged into 120v, the converter is not charging the batteries unless the sun is not out. Even in the morning or evening, the Victron puts out a higher voltage that the WFCO converter and wins every time.

I'm surprised water pump noise bothers people, but that's just me. I try to turn my pump off at night and when I leave the trailer, because I've had my plumbing "explode" (bathroom lavatory) and it's just been dumb luck that this has happened when I was there. So far.
I never use water hookups; I fill my fresh water tank and use the pump. After five years and 40,000 trailer miles I'm still on my original pump. I may buy a spare pump before my next long trip, though. I also haven't had the toilet valve fail yet, but I'd better put a valve in the toilet water line just in case.

Jim I only plug into 120 at home before a trip for refrigerator or if at a camp ground the solar does a great job charging the majority of time Also before the solar used a stand alone charger not the converter suggested by a forum member but now Love my solar Pat

Since you haven’t had any issues with your pump by now I wouldn’t worry about it the same pumps on our other RV’s were over 12 years old and didn’t fail but that toilet valve can fail Pat

Our 2013 19' is still running the original pump, something like 40,000 miles towing and a lot of pump time. I should just be quiet about this. Knocking wood right now....

Pat, we are also on the original water pump with our 2013 19'. Seems really odd that you have gone through 4 of them for the same model and year!

Same here on the batteries. I think I'm going to change them this week in preparation for a southwest trip coming up soon. We've never abused them, and I bet they'd go another year or so, but I don't want to be looking for batteries somewhere in Utah.

I hear you . That wouldn’t be fun out on the road . I wonder what is the average age for them to die ? What are you going to replace with ? I think we will replace with the same . I checked Costco and the amps are not the same . Pat

You won't find Trojan batteries at Costco or Walmart.

Glen I want the same Interstate batteries , 6 volt . Their 6 volt at Costco are made by Interstate but not the same amps and maybe not the same quality either . The cost a lot less but we don’t want less then we have . Pat

There is an Interstate dealer about 30 minutes from home, so I'm going to replace with original equipment. I love technical stuff, but we've kept the original charging and solar setup since new. It works fine for us. I also like simple.
By the way, those batteries are HEAVY! The handles were removed from ours, and they were a bear to lift out of the cargo box. If this new set lasts five years, I'll probably be too decrepit to do this again!

Back in the '60s as a young man I worked at a 24 hr. truck stop and we used this type of battery lifter. It helped!

I just picked up the batteries. They were $162 each. They also gave me a battery sling that hooks into the lugs on top of the battery. That should be a big help.
And....to get back to the original topic, I have an accumulator on the way! I discovered that the top mounting screw on our pump had worked loose allowing it to flop all around. That explains the intermittent noise in our case.
