Question Raising E19 Standard Dinette 6 inches?

Hi folks, I've seen a lot of posts that mention this mod and I would like to do it myself, so I'm hoping to get some good prep information. I asked ETI about raising it more than their 3" option and, disappointingly, they said no. We have no need to turn the area into another bed.

So is there a recommended way to approach this? We want to use the standard 2-bench layout, with a narrow storage/magazine type rack on the front wall in order to mount a Lagun table. We also want to make sure that the height allows the bathroom door to open fully, but be able to have storage under the floor for shoes and so on. I've read that 6 inches is a good height for this.

How much space is between the top of seats and the windows? I'd like to make sure the cushions don't stick above the windows. Has anyone done a video or drawn a plan of this mod?

Does this have any negative issues? Is the storage area still fine for accessing from outside?
Thanks for any help!

I would recommend PM’ing Eggscape and ChuckBC. They have already been down this road.

I have, those were the inspirations. I'm hoping to get more details for planning. I will try the PM route. Thanks!
