Reading Lights in Escape 19

I wish to install reading or Captains lights over the bed of our 2012 Escape 19. Does anyone know what make and model of light Escape uses? Or is there a better choice for my install?

Thanks Much,

Bill, I don't know the brand ETI uses but if you type in 12v led reading lights at Amazon or eBay you will find a lot of choices - some that look very much like the ones ETI put in.

These look to be similar and get good reviews https://www.amazon.com/Gold-Stars-GW...reading+lights

We had those in our '19 but found them way too bright (but more than adequate for minor surgery). I got a pair of gooseneck LED chart lights that I'll be installing over our bed in our 5.0. Less intense light and a more focused light.

I installed two of these a year ago. Wires run to the factory installed light (which is bright enough for minor surgery.)

NOt sure what the make is, but I can tell you that if you install it over the bed, make certain your mount has a solid piece of wood to hold it up. the Factory installed captains lights over our bed were screwed into the thin, insubstantial material on the bottom of the cabinets, with no reinforcement so now the light is swinging by the wiring. Glue would have been more effective. We have to put a reinforcing block on the inside of the cabinet and remount the light. that is one of the first jobs we have to do when we take it out of storage in March. Oh-my-god, that's just next month.
