I've often wondered about this. Our 2013 19' of course didn't come with a pole. We're sitting in it right now and I just tried pushing up on that corner of the cabinet, and I can't budge it even a little. Is everyone adding these now? Our roof slopes a little in that direction, but as rigid as it is, I can't believe it's any sort of sag. It's super solid. I'd rather not lose the counter space.....is Reace advising that we do this mod?

Arrrg.. ..I didn't read page two of the discussion before commenting. I think I'll leave well enough alone.

No he isn't. It's purely optional. It would also require modifying the upper cabinet edge to provide a landing for the top bracket, as others have done.

Our 19 has always been parked out doors in the winter months when not in use.
The roof of our trailer is very solid, we purchased our 19 in 2010.
I have never removed snow from the roof, we have had 39 inches of very wet snow on the roof.
The roof has never sagged from the weight.

The roof on our 2013 escape 19 has sagged and water collects on the roof. The cabinet above the sink tilts lower towards the aisle and can be moved up and down a small amount.

I'd say you are a candidate for the pole.....
