I asked Dustin in parts and the 150 limit didn’t include the weight of the spare tire, and it’s not light. With the spare gone that’s at least a 50 pounds extra amount to play with.

One nice thing is that you can have a custom box sized to carry specific items. In my case the two zero gravity chairs and other chairs etc. for easy access.
I think that the spare tire and bracket are more like 70#. So 70# off the back and 70# moved forward lets a reasonable amount of weight be added at the rear.
Jim added two extra receivers to make the box rock solid and not be able to rock side-to-side, as I've seen some other folks racks do. I used the holes for the former spare tire holder to install a bracket to the rear of the box to stabilize it. I don't like things at the rear, whether a vehicle or a trailer, moving around a lot. Some bike racks scare the crap out of me.
