turns out my stainless #8 x 5/8" screws are *also* the exact right size for the window frames, the bathroom window screws were all quite rusty and now they are all quite stainless

will check and do more of the windows tomorrow, I think there's been enough condensation on the street-side window over the bed to rust the screws there, too.

Be careful, ALL my window screws were corroded within 10 days of pickup. Reace said it was a bad batch and offered stainless. Have a bunch he sent with Anderson heads, yet they were brittle and broke in the rear window I started at. He sent me (and others) the standard coated steel screws afterwards. Most are still good after 7 years, yet am still hesitant to put in the stainless after having three break off and being a PITA to remove.

They're great for bathroom sink though.

annnnnnd.... after replacing all the screws in the bathroom window, I started on the window above the kitchen sink as it too had rather rusty heads. and I managed to snap the head off one of the Stainless phillips head #8 5/8" screws holding the corner plate that supports the string bobbin for the pleated blinds, oh no! said screws are supposedly 18/8 (304) SS, from boltdropper

grrrrr. I wonder if I can find an easy-out that small?? :-(

Needle nose vice grips is what worked; good luck.

Did mine today.

Those screws mounted horizontally behind the faucet on my trailer are actually #8 x 1". I went ahead and replaced them with the 5/8" I already purchased and they seem to hold fine. You do have to remove and reinstall the faucet but no big deal as the pipe connections and faucet mount are just hand-tightened plastic.

Looks much better with stainless steel screws and cleaned up sink w/o the rust. Could not find any Roberts head screws at my local Big Box store so just went with Phillips head.

Thanks to Mr Santa Cruz for initially scoping things out.
