Saggy trim on 6 cu ft refrigerator

Our freezer door, like most I assume, suffers from a saggy trim under the weigh of the faux panel. It drives my wife crazy.

For the life of me, I could not figure out how to remove the trim on the freezer compartment in order to apply double side tape to support the lower trim on that upper door. I really didn't want to force it off and after removing a couple of screws holding the handle, I still couldn't make any progress.

Then I noticed that the trim, being so flimsy, could be pulled away on the underside, revealing a smooth surface on the interior side of the door bottom, perfect for applying my 3M sticky tape. I stuck a couple of strips in the gap and it looks like it's doing the trick. We'll see how well it holds up over time.
