Shell thickness?
I forgot how thick the shell was (although I installed the solar hold-down brackets.) Curious if anyone knows the dimensional layup of the floors. Think the wood is 1/2 inch, and seems the shell was around 1/8 to 3/16th, but don't know if the wood is glassed to the lower shell and if so, how much? Plus there is the layer of linoleum to add in.
I've used 1 inch screws to hold half inch plywood down to the floor, wondering if I can use 1 1/4 without breaking through the outer shell.

It has been said that the fiberglass is 1/8". Someone can confirm.

The plywood is 5/8", and is on a bed of resin that likely varies in thickness. The shell is 1/8" max (in any cuts I have made), and likely a bit narrower in places. All in all, with the full layout including flooring, Overall with the flooring, I would suspect it would not be near 1" buildup, tops.

It is amazing how strong the fiberglass is, even being only an 1/8" or less.

Yep, guess I'll stay with the 1 inch screws when fastening 1/2" birch plywood. Just use a bunch.

You should be able to use at least 1 1/4" screws including the 1/2" ply, Charlie. That 1/4" of full thread thickness can add a lot of holding power per screw.

I could do a test on my own rig first with the 1 1/4 and see if it pokes thru the floor. That's the easiest proof method....if so, just inject epoxy.
