Shoe storage?

We are looking to purchase a 5.0 and are thinking about all the ways to store our crap. We have 2 boys, that is a heap of shoes for a small entrance. We are thinking of some sort of hanging shoe rack on the outside. What I dig about this community is the creativity in the problem solving and the sharing of information.

Take care,
Dan.

On the 5.0TA we use the lower step for shoes, boots go in the storage bin just outside the access door. There are only 2 of us and find shoe storage a hassle, I can see why it's a concern with 4. When it's decent out, I take mine off before going in the door, leaving them outside on the patio mat.
We did have a muck boot left outside get stolen while at Moosehead Lake, the ranger said foxes grab them for some reason.

There is lots of room under the steps. There is just the two of us, we use the area under the steps for shoes, the ones we are wearing are stored loose, others are in boxes / totes. I would think if you are concerned with dirt you could have 4 appropriate sized boxes to set them in. We keep our rain gear, seldom used boots etc in totes under the back seat of the F-150.
