Yes they are! I really like the idea of the flush mount cutting board that covers it. We had considered the new flush mount oven but I don't like the idea of a glass cover, seems impractical. Just hoping I don't miss an oven too much since we plan to primarily boondock without electrical hookups.

According to Escape it is the LaSalle Bristol model number 27336201BN. I couldn't find much info about it online, which is why I asked the smart folks here!

Who has the Dickinson available, I was told by a B.C. company a delay in supplying one? I have an April date and wanted to make sure Escape had it in hand by Jan.

I spoke with someone at Steveston Marine and was told they would have more in February. I actually ordered one from Binnacle in Canada, as I was told on the phone that they had 4 in transit. I ordered it about a week ago and it has not yet shipped, but our completion date isn't until May. Joldie at Escape told me that they were in short supply so I jumped on it. Sounds like lots of items are in short supply these days.

Touchless faucet?

Has anyone installed a touchless faucet? We have one at home and like it very much (Kohler from Costco). There is an inexpensive one at Amazon (https://amzn.com/B0878LQ9T5) that has good reviews that might be worth trying. It does take 4x AA batteries.

We have the previous Escape standard faucet which is much lower that their current faucet. A tall touchless faucet would save water and give us more clearance with the sink.

I have installed at least a dozen of these for customers, most of whom turned the feature off.

I know a guy who is setting tiles on a backsplash and the tap kept going on and off and on and off while tiling. Lots of swear words happened, and I don't usually do that. [emoji16]

I personally would not want one, either in the trailer or at home.

Interesting. I thought that Escape had recently told another buyer that they would only install their stock cooktop options.

They did tell me only stock cook options. I am a Feb 2022 19’ build. However, some folks are getting the Dickinson. When I get close enough to be beyond sales, and actually speak with Joldie, I’ll work on options again. With many being offered move up dates, I hope for the same.

Joldie is our salesperson and she is the one who told me that they would install the Dickinson cooktop. They will NOT install a Dickinson oven however.

That seems to be the answer. We don’t want an oven, but don’t want the stock cooktop either. We’ll see when my time comes up. Melissa is our salesperson, but Joldie has been listed as our configuration specialist in emails with ETI. I’m sure it will be quite awhile, even if we can move up, before we hear from Joldie to actually start the process.

The plot thickens.

Somewhat more understandable that the non stock oven might be too much of a variation for an easy fit.

We are interested in the Dickinson cooktop and maybe the microwave/convection oven that Escape is now offering.

Our build sign off isn’t until early February so we don’t start officially working with Joldie on our configuration until early January. One month doesn’t feel like enough time to decide on everything so I’ve been asking her a few questions. I would suggest that if you are thinking of changing out standard items. It gives you more time to acquire them and get them to ETI.
The Dickinson oven is apparently too tall for the standard cabinetry.

I’m already acquiring the nonstandard items ETI has approved, and have a build sheet worked out almost completely, but do have to get time with Joldie in the cooktop plan and TV / stereo plans. I’m still about a year out right now.

Seeing I had no trouble fitting it into my custom galley of the same size. Makes me wonder what is different with their standard size. I bet if would mean a whole bunch of extra work, whereas mine was in the plan from the start.

Referring to your galley drawing, here's a difference that has a big impact on cabinet horizontal face-framing and at least one door size. Apparently more effort than ETI wants to undertake though accommodated easily in your wonderful 'built from scratch' cabinet

Yeah, I never got to see what they used in my trailer. I did have the left and front panels in place, but nothing else. I did refuse the side panel. [emoji6]

Reace had said to me three was no way they would redo things to accommodate this oven, but to do another drop in stove that fit was no problem.

The things Escape is willing do are likely changing even more now to meet the challenges of increased production numbers.

Jim, I think this is the storyline. I guess I waited 3 years too long to buy my trailer, but until my last one was destroyed, I didn’t have a good reason to replace it. I still think the Escape I will get will be a good trailer, or obviously I wouldn’t of put a deposit down. I liked them much better than Scamp or Casita when I visited Chiliwack in 2012, and like the Gen 2, specifically the door and beefed up frame, even more.

I think I saw that you are/were a chef. I love our oven. I am a retired chef and we are full timers in our 2019 Escape 21. In a cast iron pan it makes the best pizza! Even better than the wood burning brick oven that we had at our house before we changed lifestyles. We installed a larger sink that a basin fits into so when boon docking we can pour the grey outside. My Le Crueset dutch oven makes gorgeous no knead bread. It takes up the whole oven so the bottom of the pot is very close to the flame. i bought a 9" pizza stone at the dollar store and put it under the lowest rack to diffuse the flame and the bottom crust doesn't burn. It works out just fine. The three burners on top are good too. I am soooo glad we opted for the stove/oven combo. I know this is a post about the Faucet. It is excellent. I can pull it out and fill a larger vessel when using my sous vide circulator too. We have a cutting board we McGyvered to fit over the sink when not in use. i hate the bathroom plastic faucet though.
