Standard Refrigerator

I have seen in the forum a few modifications to the standard refrigerator door panels. I was wondering what model fridge comes standard. Has anyone ordered the stainless looking panels from Dometic? I checked on installing real stainless as others have done but seemed a bit pricey for me? any other thoughts or ideas?
Thanks,
Ryan

I replaced the plywood refrigerator door panels with a couple of my photographs. There are not that many places to hang photos, so the refrigerator door works. Mounted them on 1/8" Foamcore.

The standard refrigerator size and therefore model depends on which Escape trailer you are talking about. The 'base standard' for all is a Dometic 3-way (LP/12VDC/120VAC) item.

FYI here's links to two posts with pics where member Tree3 describes installing the Dometic Stainless panels in a 2020 E21 with the largest of the Dometic 3-way models ETI currently offers (the Dometic DM2683; 'base standard' on some like the 5.0, available as an option in some others):

Hope that helps, Have Fun!

Good Point! We are in line for a 21C with the 6 cubic foot model.

Thanks! I will check out the links

More FYI, I went to a local full-range Formica / Wilsonart dealer to look at swatches of laminate in so-called "Stainless Steel" finishes (there are many options).

All were, to my eye, a poor substitute for the 'real thing', and though certainly less expensive and would lend to easy installation in this application I wouldn't have any of them myself because it would look so 'cheesy' next to things like the OE SS range hood. YMMV.

But, there are many nice laminate patterns other than SS if interested in that, and it is a good material for the application, IMO. You don't need to 'bond' the laminate to the fridge, just slip it in the provided slot.
