Storage box capacity and batteries

I'm wondering about the 100 lb storage capacity of the storage box. How is that impacted if a person opts for the dual 6V batteries?

No one knows what the 100# storage capacity means. We have a 19 with 2-6 volt batteries, which alone are heavier than 100#. We believe that the 100# capacity means 100# additional weight allowed, but that is our personal opinion. Other identical Escape 19s have a sticker than says 50# is the storage capacity. ETI has not weighed in on what the sticker means as far as we know.

We carry 2 bicycles on the hitch on the back of the trailer, that with our hitch weigh about 100#. Our tongue weight was 400# measured at the rally in Osoyoos 2019. Way to light! Our storage box was somewhat full of heavy items at that time. We have since moved many heavy objects forward to increase our tongue weight, including 5 gallons of water ballast under the passenger side dinette. We have increased our storage box weight by adding some additional tools.

If I remember other posts correctly you get a sticker saying 50 pound capacity if you have the batteries in the storage box.
