You'd have to paint the whole trailer black. I did see that on a fiberglass trailer. Don't think it looked bad but the sun might require the roof being left white!

Nice find and made in the USA. According to Tire Rack they have a nice selection of sizes that would be suitable for Escape owners. Speed rating N which is 87 mph which more than addresses the concern of the original post with an "ST" designated tire.
