TV remote holder

Picked up several types of holders from Camping World - given my husband's affinity for misplacing things, one has become the official "home" for the remotes. Now if he can only remember to put them back in the home!

As a side note, when my husband went hunting, he was without hookups but was able to watch some videos on our portable dvd player. Wasn't bad but the screen was only 7" so a bit small for his older eyes. I had already bought a 19" Sharp LED for the trailer that runs on 110 because the 12v TV's I saw at the time were too expensive.

I noticed a 13" ac/dc LED/LCD TV at London Drugs for $99.00 and sent my husband to pick one up. Popped a DVD in the OneTouch stereo and the movie runs great off 12v plus the sound was more than adequate through the Escape installed speakers. My husband is lost when it comes to audio/visual setups so this will work great for him when he's off grid hunting or fishing - I'll be handling the blu-ray setup.

Re: TV remote holder

You can also use an inverter to play a 110 volt TV using the battery(s).

Re: TV remote holder

Believe it or not, I had placed an inverter in the upper cabinet above the TV when we loaded the trailer for his trip but he didn't realize it was there. I had put it there so he could also charge his cell phone - a moot point since he forgot the charger at home!

As far as his power usage, the batteries stayed well charged thanks to the solar panel. Definitely a worthwhile investment.
