The U-shaped dinette in the 19 would likely be tight for four sets of feet. Maybe Robert will come in, as he has that. In the 5.0TA it is tight too, and it is a fair bit larger.

The only reason I put it in my build is to house electronics. One could lounge in the benches fine.

It does look good too.

The side cushions on a 19 are only 26" wide. The cushions in the 21 are 4" wider and the dinette itself is 6" wider because of the trailer width.

Here is a thread that has some discussion about the u-shaped dinette:

I can only speak to the dinette in the 19'. We have had four adults (all 6' or under in height) around the table without a problem (plus we had two kids in the back corners during a torrential rain storm). Admittedly, it is a little tight but eating wasn't a problem (the double posts can be a pain). I would suggest finding someone close by you who could show you what it looks/feels like.

If it helps, here are some interior photos of the 19'. (If the captions don't show up, the photos show the table pushed back, forward and where the edge comes in each case.)

Thank you for the responses, and the great suggestion.

My wife and I are considering a 5.0TA.

Is there anyone in the north Texas area with a u-shaped dinette in this model Escape that would be willing to let my wife and I look at it?

The dinette in the 21 is the same too. Have you checked with Escape? They would know of everyone who bought.

Not sure which model, but we have the U in the 19 and two teenagers. We seat all of us for meals when needed and no one seems to have any complaints.
