Umbra hooks in a 17B

Do forum members have advice on good places to put Umbra hooks (2-, 3-, 4-, or 5- hook strips?) in a 17B? We will pick up our 17B in May and would like to have Escape cut (& install) any Umbra hooks that need cutting (e.g., 2 + 3 or 1 + 4 hooks from a 5-hook strip)--so as to not ruin our saw blades--and we have to request this before our orientation. Specifically, I would like to know: what size (how many hooks of an Umbra strip) will fit on the cabinet end that is inside the door (the cabinet that is over a short wardrobe); and on the side of the refrig/microwave cabinet that is on the other side of the door. Thanks!

I just have a plan so far...I pick up my 17a next month. I am planning on the umbra "cubby" with three hooks on the left of the door (facing out) and a 5 hook on the back wall of the refrig near the dinette. I might also put a couple on the front wall of the wardrobe (would be your bathroom wall facing the front).

As you work with your build sheet contact at ETI, ask them where others have had them installed. They might have some good ideas and also know where the wall studs are easiet to hit.

You can have too many hooks.
I've used 3M Command hooks. The ones that I installed on the front facing bath wall and the one on the rear facing fridge wall are not particularly useful because clothing hung on them gets in the way of seating and sleeping.
So, don't just look at the hooks. Look at the space where clothing will hang from the hooks.

Not Umbra, but my own version of the same thing. It fits and looks good beside the bath door, but something to consider is that a jacket hanging on the hook near the door interfers with the bath door closing. We just hang a cap or dog leash there. I know this is in a 5.0TA, but still something to watch for.

I am not sure where, but I do plan to add some more hooks somewhere. What I really like the hooks for, along with the obvious use for jackets and hats, is to hang my clothes on overnight rather than piling them up somewhere, and the hooks I already have are always overloaded.

And, do you really want clothes hanging from every wall in the trailer? Starts to looks like a teenager's bedroom.

Every wall? Just one in my case, and considering a second in the loft. And even though I love things to look good, function always trumps out over finish.

And since when do teenagers hang up clothes. They just throw them on the floor or furniture like I am now forced to do.

These are our umbra hooks. Magnetic for hanging keys and fly swather, clip for papers, hanging for whatever. We have three beside bathroom door, for dog leash, keys, sunglasses etc.. Two on wall by bed, for hanging phone, purse, glasses, alarm, etc. And the one I most like is installed above the counter on the dividing wall. This one we use for whatever needs to be charged, being out of the way.
Don't want to miss any of them, but do think that I could have done with a few less beside bathroom door. It seems that hubby thinks he can hang there whatever he likes, which sure does make it look like a teenager's room sometimes.....

i bought several sizes some long and one with a cubby. When i got my trailer we did a walk through with the installers and decided where they should go - they cut them down (in half) so they fit. i like having lots of them as they fold up when not in use and don't call attention to them selves - i like a lot of them! but i don't hang stuff from them all the time just find them handy when needed!

One to the right of the bathroom door almost straight ahead when you walk into the 19. This one is mostly for hanging clothes. Second one is on the rear bulkhead on the passengers side facing back towards the bed. Good for hanging misc. kitchen stuff and putting a phone or small remote in the cubby.

On our 17b we put 3 Umbra hooks on the left wall as you walk in the door, if you wanted 4 might fit. We find hanging coats there keeps them out of the way and they don't get in the way as you enter or leave the trailer. The small cabinet on the right is where we but small hooks for our keys

We have a 5 hook Umbra on the refrig side on our 2017 17B, they did not need to cut it. We don't have one the wardrobe side. Sorry we don't have the trailer here to post a picture.
