That won’t happen with the Hepo, because of how it lets water drain through it. There is no curly-que, trumpet shaped p-valve in a Hepo unit to collect water; therefore, no need to add water for an effective seal against the stank.

I’m probably going to install one under the sink on my 21’er when I get it, so that I can slide som extra pots, pans, baskets, or other supplies under my cabinet without hitting the blasted p-trap. For me, it’s worth the $20-$30 bucks and a couple hours, to have less stank and more undersink room.
Thankyou for explanation . The 19 is different though and we drain and have enough room for what we carry . The couple of times we got the smell was probably loss of the water in trap going down the road . Pat

Did you get that new door from Escape, it looks like it may be the new cedar wood?

That Hallmark camper Los Angeles posted looked interesting though . We have had 2 campers and still like them . So easy , just start your engine and go , cheaper to own too.

Looks good. I've done something similar by cutting up a cheap plastic chair mat from an office supply place. Repeated the same for the cabinet under our sticks-n-bricks kitchen sink. Helps keep the wood in good shape.
