Vinyl wall covering

The advantage of the Casita's "fur" lining is that it is not susceptible to tears. We much prefer the vinyl, but I'm concerned with how to protect the vinyl from punctures and undue wear. Especially thinking of around the bed, dinette area, and inside cabinets where hard edged objects may be stored.
So the question to all you longer term owners.........what has been your experience, and what have you done in regards to the vinyl wall covering to ensure the longevity of your trailers? We expect to use ours for the next 20 or so years.
No problem with it at all in 5 years, and we do nothing to protect it. It is quite a tough material. It is just on the exterior wall though. We use a non-slip lining in the bottom where we store dishes.
Excuse the dishevelled look, as I had moved stuff around to install the lights and switch.

Our plates are Corel ones we bought about 25 years ago. Though not the most beautiful pattern, they are thin, light and tough. All our cups and other stuff that goes in there are fairly smooth too.

Never occurred to me to worry about the vinyl covering inside the cupboards, so I've not taken any precautions in five and a half years.
Light-weight Melamine dishes and polycarbonate beer mugs ( super expensive from Williams and Sonoma ) have been stored above the sink and stove without fear.
