Wardrobe mods in new gen 17b

Hi All:
I have searched & looked at some fabulous mods for shelving & drawers in the wardrobe but would appreciate further ideas. I wondered if folks would post pics & ideas for the wardrobe for the new gen 17b that have worked well? Instructions would be great too! I have read that the sides need to be reinforced dt thin plywood. I have a handy man that will install whatever I want. Currently have plastic bins from BB&B in there but would prefer something a little easier to use. Am interested in shelving ideas as well as drawer ideas. Would be great to have shelving that can be moved if I want configuration changed. Thank you, Julie

Although this is a 21, same idea applies for adjustable drawer heights. Mounted rails on each side, then a flat shelf to which the drawer assembly is mounted. The 21 has deeper closet than a 17, but might be able to use the idea.

Hello Mucram.
In 2004 when we ordered our 2005 17 B.The trailer came with a wardrobe that went all the way up to the ceiling.Somebody had ordered one with a cut down closet, they way they are built today. We told Reace that we would like a lower closet like that because we were not going to pack a lot of clothing or evening gowns. The counter top (top of closet ) became a handy space for offloading groceries or what have you, making sandwiches or whatever.
Since then it seems like that is the way they have been manufactured ever since.
But knowing Reace, he listens to his customers so he will probably make one for you.
Making changes to suit you is part of the planning and is a lot of fun.Enjoy working on the build sheet, we made five build sheets and still forgot to add the Jack TV antenna, oh well.
We are still happy.
Allan.

Hello Allen. I have my 2017b. Am looking for ideas on shelving and/or other ideas on retrofitting the wardrobe space. Currently have drawers from bb&beyond in there.

We got these from the container store. There is still a little room to hang coats.

Elfa mesh system

Attachment 28770I installed these Elfa Narrow Platinum mesh 4 drawer system last week. I use the space to the right to store my tv when traveling or to hang a jacket when camping if need be. Much nicer than the plastic bins I was using. The four corners are stabilized to base of pantry using VHB. Will see how this works out; right now it is very stable.

Titanizer, that's exactly what I'm hoping to put in the wardrobe of my 17A. It should just fit though I'll need to raise it a bit for the 2 inch lip at the bottom. I like that the drawers are available in 3 sizes and that they're able to be rearranged as desired.

Your lights are a great idea as well.

thanks h20wmn. I love the baskets. the light is a hold -over from my old camper. Each light rotates and can be adjusted for angle; also it has 2 intensities. It's attached with VHB tape. I love that stuff.
