As far as compressor fridges go, unless they’ve added a new option very recently, the DC558 is the only model Escape offers. Our 21C was built in May of this year with the DC558. We’ve been very happy with it so far.

We only had or knew of the one option - 5.5 cu ft. It is shorter so we gained a cabinet above it. Very impressed with its performance and efficiency.

My memory has cleared. I take back my thought that escape may have offered a larger compressor fridge. I have always liked the Danfoss compressor. I used it to build a refrigerator on my sailboat many years ago. I believe the compressor Norcold uses is manufactured in china by the company that bought Danfoss.
