2 door fridge not turning on
I found the new subject area. I had posted in performance. Have 12v, 110v but nothing from the control panel which I can't find a way to remove.

Did you check the fuse inline at the 12 volt connection on the fridge?

Dave I did check the fuse on the back and it was good. 12v on each side and ck'd resis across the fuse. Is there another fuse besides the one in the panel?
Thanks, Jack

If by panel you mean where the 12v main line connects to the fridge then that is the fuse I'm referring to. It jumps from main 12v in to connection just below which is 12v controls........at least on the 4.3.

When my 4.3 did the same thing it turned out to be the main control board. Which was determined after replacing the control panel board. Dometic just sort of threw parts at it until it worked again.

fridge not on
Dave, I have one fuse in my main distribution panel marked refrig plus one in the refrig back on wires for 12v. I did manage to pull the control panel loose but it appears to be a sealed type unit with wires in a strip to the rear. I may start pulling the access panels apart in the rear and see if I can find the on/off connections.

Yeah my control panel was the same with just a flat strip of wires. That was replaced whole. However dometic had the tech replace the flat wire after it didn't fix the problem. The fridge had to be pulled to get at the main control board on my configuration.
Good luck.

Jack, do you have the print? for what it's worth (block diagram) it's on pg 21 of the install manual. Interesting it doesn't show the fuse or the fans.

2 door fridge
Bob, thanks for the info. 30 or 40 years ago I would have better luck following the diagram. Tomorrow I may hit it again when the temp is down to 80 or so, if not I may try one of the guys that come to the RV since I understand it is under warranty.

does anyone have another suggestion or know how to remove the control panel? After removing the screws, it is still attached.
When trailer was parked, it is possible the fridge was left on and when 110 plugged in it might have tried to run for who knows how long with the doors open.

Did you check for 12V present at the fridge. The controls run on 12V. Someone posted a while back a picture of the 12V power wire to the fridge broken off at the terminal block. Their fuse was ok, but, no power going in.

fridge not turning on
Bill, I checked for 12v everywhere I could including both sides of fuses. This morning I have a mobile service guy coming out, I'm hoping he just teaches me something and no parts necessary. We are scheduled to leave for Monterey and the historic races next week, hope we don't have to eat and drink from ice chests for 4 days.
Thanks, Jack
