We just picked up our 19 yesterday in the snow and drove home. We are wondering about our 2 step. In does not appear to lock when you stow it away. Seems like a sharp left turn while driving could have the step deploying. Is there away of locking it when putting it away or is that not how it works?
I don’t have my Escape yet, but have owned other 2 step trailers. With those you typically have to lift and then pull to open the steps. I’d guess it might be possible for a two step to pop open, but it’s never happened to me in 1000’s of miles. If it did, I’d probably just bungee it before I tossed the door mat in at each hitch up. The Escape could be different, but I won’t know for several months.

I replaced the one step with the 2 step that ETI uses and have not had any issues with it extending while traveling. . It would be easy to instal a pin lock setup if one wanted to for peace of mind.
