2014 17b Dometic refrigerator, model number

During travel our Dometic hinges failed and the door came off. I've read much concerning fridge hinge replacement. I would just order the hinges, but I don't know the model of the fridge as THERE IS NO INFORMATION anywhere on the fridge! I've tried calling Escape; however, I am too busy to wait over an hour for a customer service representative. So, can anyone on this forum inform me what Dometic model went into the Escape 17b?

Do a search for RM8551
That should help.....

You can also search Dometic’s website and find some info there

Your model number may vary depending upon your fridges size. You might want to check your fridge manual.

Check around for the "information sheet". I found ours in the closet that listed all the appliances and their model numbers.

Good morning.
Look up Dometic 2310 and you will find a lot of info on this 3 cubic excellent fridge.
However no info re garding hinges but you could contact Dometic or even better some RV repair people.
Take care.
Allan.

Look for this label inside the fridge.

I saw some pictures of Dometic hinges .... the seller was on Ebay. Discovered this searching for "Dometic RV Refrigerator" parts. Sorry lost the site info. Pictures were of hinges only. Hope this helps,
Tom

I too need Dometic refer parts. I'm looking for the smoke plexiglass cover for the "control buttons" above the the door. Can't seem to find a part number reference .... is for a 2015 3.4 cubic foot Dometic refer (they were the standard no option refers installed). I'm away from my trailer currently so am unable to report the model number. Any ideas?

Other than me tripping and breaking the flip up cover plate, my refer works perfectly. Two years ago it was failing to get cold enough. After replacing the propane regulator and pig tails (mine were cracked), I was back in business. All's well!

Tom

Model number is on the inside of the fridge on the back wall, I think.

We have 17B 2013 and a similar issue with the fridge door. What I did was a flat stainless steel brace for top and bottom, cut to the door shape about 4 inch long then screwed them on. Cut a hole where the hinge pin goes top and bottom. Filed cracks and missing pieces with epoxy and painted black. Looks pretty good, but I now have a bungy cord on the over fridge door when travelling.
