21 Lower Cabinet, Back Removal

I need to run some wires on the drivers side of an E-21 and need to remove the lower cabinet backing under the closet. I have seen pictures of the cabinet faces with no liners but can't tell how Escape installed the cabinet liner. I see where the cabinet walls are stapled to the door frames but I'm sure they are stapled and glued together. Has anyone removed the inner cabinet assy. in a lower cabinet. (Without tearing it to pieces?)

Eddie,

About a year ago I removed the thin plywood backing in the two floor cabinets on the drivers side of our 5.0 TA. This gave us several inches more depth. The area became an ideal place for us to keep the Keurig. These two cabinets in our rig were relatively shallow because they are directly in front of the two wheel wells. With patience I was able to remove the staples, tearing up the panel edges just slightly. I don't remember running into any glue. The little damage to the panels didn't bother me as I don't have any plans to replace them. I felt at the time I could probably put the panels back with some trouble. Escape also had run quite a bit of wiring above or adjacent to the wheel wells.

Thanks Cliff
I did not think I would gain any space. I just need to reach the side wall where all the wires run. I'm going to follow your lead. Sure would have been nice if the back panels were removable.
