5.0 beltline insert strip

Hey folks,
Putting in new beltline insert after the 2014 original peeled itself while on the road 3 weeks ago. Easy to see the original was WAY more flexible and “rubbery” when you get to the first big turn. The stiffer Camco aftermarket stuff probably isn’t going to make the 4 turns up to the bedroom and back down without some sort of “fix”. My ideas are....clip it on the inside radius overlap it and hit it with some clear Proflex....or possible try to heat it and make it more flexible to make the turn....Here’s a couple pix of the corner and what the insert looks like while when put in..... sorry about the orientation but y’all get the idea...

Any other ideas or experience out there?

Why not paint the middle of the track with black paint, thus any "holes" would not show.

On mine, it's cut at an angle... not bent.

A couple more pics with a couple solutions with a test strip, one with an overlap cut, one with a small pie cut out at the bend with a little pucker in the molding....

Thanks Donna, sounds like the angle overlap cut might be the way to go with a little clear proflex (too bad I don’t have black!)...
