5.0TA Air Conditioner
We don't have much need for A/C as we're not summer campers. Last fall in CO and UT, we did have the need. When we kicked it on the air came on strong, bringing the dinette area down to 60 in no time with the thermostat set to 72. About that time I'd get up and turn it off as Deb's lips would be blue.
Did some experimenting here in FL before the warranty expires I came up with what works, thought it might save another fifth wheel owner the same hassle.
The issue seems to be the placement of the thermostat, it's around the corner by the closet facing the loft, hence it's the last thing to cool off. Fyi, the air out of the a/c is in the 50's. Simply closing the 2 side and the rear vents, and closing the bottom one about half way allows most of the air to be directed to the loft while keeping frost off the dinette. Worked well for the 2 nights I used it.
